At a glance
Cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) is a water-soluble polymer flocculant for wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering and solid-liquid separation. It is commonly evaluated where positively charged polymer chemistry can improve the capture and separation of suspended solids.
CPAM can be considered for municipal and industrial sludge dewatering, wastewater clarification and other separation steps where a cationic polymer is suitable. Final grade selection should be based on the actual sludge, water chemistry, equipment and representative trial results.

There is no universal CPAM dose. The working dose depends on sludge characteristics, solids loading, pH, charge demand, mixing and the dewatering equipment. Run representative jar, bench or plant trials before setting a production dose.
